Just finished Vacation Queen! It is such a fun road trip. I just the LOVE the part where they sleep in a teepee. Kylie Jean's favorite part is visiting the queen aka the Statue of Liberty in New York City!
Here are some fun pictures from my Frisco Public Library visit in January!

Book Signings
Hello again,
Last week I signed books in the Capstone booth at the Texas Library Association conference in San Antonio, Texas. We gave away two different Kylie Jean craft books. I loved seeing so many Kylie Jean fans. It was so much fun!
I will be at Barnes and Noble Creekwalk in Plano, on Saturday April 26th from 2-4pm, reading, signing and having a craft session. They will be selling Kylie Jean books and my book the Ghost's Revenge.
See you there!

Student Stories
Hey Fans,
Recently I visited Audelia Creek Elementary and promised to post some of the best student stories I read on my blog. Here they are!
Ashley
Ashley...come here..." said a low mysterious voice. "Where is that noise coming from?!" I asked myself. It all began when I was searching in my jungle of clothes and toys. It had gotten quiet and peaceful until my started barking for about 5 minutes. "Ugh!" "Hush Reyna" She got me very irritated, so I peeked over and find my dog barking straight to the blank white wall. "Ruff! Ruff!" At first I thought she was just messing with my mind instead of being scared I gave her a funny face like she was not out of her mind. A few seconds had past I heard a quiet noise I thought it was my tablet, so I slowly walk up to it, but I realize I was wrong. I felt someone right behind me I quickly turn over ...nobody goosebumps crawling on my arms like 1,000littel ants stepping all over me. Suddenly I heard an unknown voice whispering in my ear. I could feel the warm breath saying my name slow. I got creeped out because my parents were outside and I was the only one inside, but I still asked anyway if they had said my name and they shook their head. "this was my imagination I told myself, so I got back to what I was doing. A few moments later passed another voice caught my attention whispered, "Ashley...come here" I turned my head slowly and saw...a tall black and white man, with a long hat was staring down at me. I screamed at the top of my lungs "AHHHH!!!" As soon as he left I was shocked about what just happened. That day still haunts me until this day and that terrifying day is permanent in my head.
Ariel
My name is Ariel. I can get scared over many things, a lot, but I was not prepared for what was going to happen on that day or night! I was happily going to bed and had nothing scary to think of. Once I got in bed I tried to fall asleep, but then I heard it.Someone or something was whispering my name! "Ariel" the thing-a-ma-bobber said. I was as scared as a wild bunny about to be eaten by a wolf. That poor bunny. I'm going to name him fluffy the bunny! Oh wait, I'm fluffy the bunny! Anyway I started to freeze of fear for while, but then after that "while" was over I felt it was safe to move. This was also a good experience because who gets to say that some weird mysterious ghost called your name? I just hope it never happens again! That was the scariest day or night or, whatever! Of my life! You've got to be careful what you do, because it could cot you your life! Get it? It could cost you your life savings!?
Ma Ryah
"Screech" Scratch" "Screech" Thats the sound the chalk made as it turned into a big smiley face on my apartment wall. On one beautiful sun shiny day in 2011. I was strolling around with my friend *Ashley. We were babbling and creating tiny butterflies on the sidewalk. Suddenly I looked up and saw a huge smiley face with two black eyes and a supper happy mouth. Quick as a flash I picked up my chalk box and zoomed to my house. All of a sudden there's a knock at my door. Surprise, surprise it's Ashley. My mom comes to the door and asks what's wrong. The bum Ashley snitches on me. I'm sent to my room and I'm grounded. I learned that you shouldn't draw on apartment walls.

Hello Fans~
I have exciting news! Four new Kylie Jean books are coming out in February! They are Cupcake Queen, Pirate Queen, Party Queen, and Summer Camp Queen. Pirate Queen is my favorite. I love pirates! You won't believe it...I'm as happy as a kid on Christmas Day, because there are two more Kylie Jean books coming! Right now I am working on Valentine Queen and Green Queen. Also, I have to be mysterious here...because there may be some other BIG Kylie Jean news soon, but for now it is top secret.
Recently I visited The Book Nook in Brenham, Texas for their Christmas Stroll. I stayed at the Brenham House Bed and Breakfast. It was very nice! Kylie Jean's real true Granny went with me and I got to see her cousin Cara, and my sister-in-law Trish!
I have to say a special hello to all of my friends in Nacogdoches, especially Ms. Betty at Carpenter Elementary. In December I visited all of the Nacogdoches ISD elementary schools. It was so much FUN!
My former student, Ms. Lucas, is a teacher now. While I was visiting I got to read to her class.
In January I will be signing books at Costco and visiting schools in Grand Prairie. Maybe I will even see ya'll there!

Yee Haw ! Two visits out WEST!
Howdy ya'll~This week I visited librarians in Amarillo and Lubbock. They were a great audience. I love speaking to library people. Candy and Coye the Abdo reps that arranged my trip were terrific. Talk about being a hostess with mostess. They treated the librarians like queens providing snacks, lunch, and door prizes. I would do it again! Kylie Jean would say, "I had more fun than ridin' the Ferris Wheel at the state fair!"

Super Summer!
Hello Readers~
This has been a super summer! I had a wonderful visit to Jacksonville, TX. I was the speaker at a mother/daughter rodeo dinner. The audience was awesome! You'll never believe it, but I got to sit at the table with the "real" rodeo queens. They were gorgeous. Then I did an author visit at the Bullard, TX public library. It is in a log cabin. Really! One of the best parts was finding out that one of the little girls was a Kylie too. Some of the kids were reading the Kylie Jean books and had them checked out. On a mini vacation this weekend in Austin,TX I found my books on the shelf of my favorite book store, Book People. I signed all of their copies! This fall so far I will be doing visits in Dallas, Diboll, Chireno, and College Station. I plan to be at the Texas Book Festival in Austin. Also, signing books for Capstone at The American Association of School Librarians, AASL in Minneapolis, Minnesota!

Barnes and Noble book signing huge success!!
The book signing at Prestonwood Barnes and Noble was a huge success! Thanks to all my fans for coming out and thank you to the manager Lea for having me. Also, appreciated my friends Jay and Joan in childrens' books for keeping the line moving. Especially Jay for setting the signing up. I loved seeing my Kramer kids, DKG friends, tea club ladies and fellow librarians. We sold about 300 Kylie Jean books! I'm still on cloud nine...it was a wonderful day!

Football Queen is Finished! Yea!
Kylie Jean shares her football mania with readers. Even Ugly Brother loves Friday night football. She makes up this cheer for her brother T.J. who is the quarter back for his team...
Kings are gonna rock you
Kings are gonna sack you
Better watch the clock you
Our Line Backers will wack you
Carter’s gonna win it
He throws the ball to spin it
Kings are gonna rule
Kings are really cool!
Go Kings, Go Carter!
Go Kings, Go Carter!
Can't wait for these books to come out! It will be a while. Look for them in January 2012!

Kylie Jean Spelling Bee Queen
Hey Kylie Jean Fans! I just finished writing Spelling Bee Queen. It turned out super cute! I love the part where Kylie Jean and her best cousin Lucy find a baby cat and they both want to be its momma. Kylie Jeans' spelling adventures in the Piggly Wiggly grocery store are pretty fun too. Now it's on to Football Queen. You know in Texas we love our Friday night football...
